Mr Higgins eluded confidence in his manner, and presented himself as a thoroughly knowledgeable and professional doctor, yet his personal approach to my operation was exemplary. I always felt at ease when in conversation. On each occasion that I had cause to meet with Mr Higgins, he was always attentive to my questions, and gave very detailed responses that were easy to understand. The operation itself, a hip replacement, has to this point proved to be a huge success, with the scarring far less noticeable than I had expected. The ability of Mr Higgins as a surgeon is, in my opinion, unquestionable. And the ease with which I was able to feel comfortable in his presence made the whole procedure much easier to handle.

Mr Higgins very reassuring he put my right hip revision in .getting there slowly. But he still as the left revision to do long road for me but I'm sure and trust him million percent

From the very first meeting with Mr Higgins he was very reassuring about the outcome of the surgery. He explained all the steps involved, and the possible downsides, and the likely recovery time. Operation was completed quickly and the relief from the hip pain was immediate. Recovery has been great. Walking without crutches within two weeks and walking the dogs a couple of miles within four weeks, whereas walking 50 yards prior to the operation was optimistic, at best. Physio follow-up has been brilliant and just had my 8-week review with Mr Higgins, which was brilliant - wound has healed well and pain is not much more than a dull ache now. Mr Higgins has been clear from the outset what my recovery would be like and he has been spot on. He has reassured me that in a few more weeks I can pretty much go back to doing what I want, so bring on the golf course. I can't thank Mr Higgins enough for his professionalism and expertise in removing so much physical pain and rejuvenating my mental health. My thanks also to Nottingham City Hospital, who were marvellous in every department.

Fantastic care from start to finish for my Right Total Hip Replacement. Great pain relief whilst in hospital and needed very little when home. Loved having no staples to be removed had very little pain or swelling. Back at work after 7 weeks, riding my horse after 12weeks. I carnt thank Mr Higgins and his team enough for giving me my life back.
